How to Pray for our Military
Every day our military members put their lives in harm’s way so that we can live in peace and freedom. Please keep them in your prayers:
Points of Prayer:
- Give us such leaders that You would be pleased to go out with our armies.
- Give our commanders wisdom and strategy to win the war, and may politics not slow down or diminish the outcome.
- Guard the hearts and minds of our soldiers in the knowledge of Christ Jesus.
- Surround our soldiers and their families with your hedge of protection. Guard and protect their marriages, spouses, and children. May they prosper and see the salvation of God.
- Make every mission successful.
- Cause them to be alert to the plans and strategies of the enemy.
- Keep them from temptation and deliver them from evil.
- Let no weapon forged against them prosper.
- Let every curse and negative word spoken over them fall to the ground. Give them the grace to return good for evil.
- Let them take the light of the gospel wherever they go.

How to Pray for the United States:
Father, guard and protect us from enemies both without and within. Let their evil be exposed before it can manifest.
Lord grant that we your people would always choose your ways and live according to your word.
May your Name and your Word be exalted in our land.
Raise up righteous leadership for our nation. Give us men and women of integrity who are able to stand for what is right. May they be graced with a spirit of leadership so that others will follow their example.
Raise up your standard of righteousness and let the righteous rule.
Lord bless the people of this nation. Prosper them and grant that they would be able to live in peace.

Praying for your pastor is very important. The pastoral staff and elders of your church are the point people. That means they take the most flack as go in the front of the formation breaking ground for the rest of us. We need to be sure to keep them surrounded in prayer.
